📖 Installation Instructions

🦊 Firefox Installation

  1. Download the brainwave-firefox.zip file above
  2. Extract the zip file to a folder
  3. Open Firefox and go to about:debugging
  4. Click "This Firefox" → "Load Temporary Add-on"
  5. Select the manifest.json file from the extracted folder
  6. The extension is now active! Select any text and right-click to use.

🌐 Chrome Installation

  1. Download the brainwave-chrome.zip file above
  2. Extract the zip file to a folder
  3. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
  4. Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top right)
  5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder
  6. The extension is now active! Select any text and right-click to use.

⚡ VS Code Installation

  1. Download the commit-ai.vsix file above
  2. Open VS Code
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac)
  4. Type "Extensions: Install from VSIX" and select it
  5. Browse to the downloaded .vsix file and select it
  6. Reload VS Code when prompted
  7. You'll now see a ✨ button in your Source Control panel!
